Summer Grass

Summer Grass presents a surface entirely filled with irregular, interlocking shapes and mottled marks. A large, solid green area sits in the center of the composition. Around this middle section, smaller and more broken shapes spread out toward the edges of the frame. The eye finds the most variety and complexity in the upper and lower left corners, where the shapes are more diverse. In contrast, the right side of the picture features more consistent and textured patterns.

While various shades of green like lime, forest, and emerald dominate the image, small accents of other colors appear throughout the dense arrangement. Bright pink, cyan, and yellow marks are scattered among the green forms. Tiny patches of orange and purple are also visible within the mottled surface. These colorful fragments are concentrated most heavily within the complex sections on the left side of the work.
