Ridge

This abstract artwork is built from mottled shapes and textured marks that overlap within a square frame. The eye is drawn to the middle of the picture, where a horizontal band of bright, concentrated shapes stretches from side to side. Large, dark masses fill the top and bottom sections, creating a sense of weight around the lighter center. Dark shadows are most prominent in the upper right and lower center edges, framing the more colorful areas.

The colors consist of various greens, from pale mint to deep forest. Small patches of bright magenta and white are scattered throughout the central band, breaking up the green tones. These irregular shapes blend into one another rather than having sharp borders, creating a surface where different textures and shades of color merge together.
