Structure

This square image builds upon the artist's modern abstract pattern by filling the entire surface with a dense grid of shapes. Horizontal and vertical bands cross one another to create a flat arrangement where no single area stands out more than the rest. Small circles and squares line up in rows along these bands, while larger versions of the same shapes sit inside rectangular blocks. The distribution of forms is even, stretching from the center all the way to the edges of the frame.

A grainy texture covers the bright pink, olive green, mustard yellow, and white surfaces. Within the larger blocks, concentric circles and nested squares create a sense of depth within the flat layers. Triangles and semicircles fit into the gaps between the straight lines of the rectangles, adding variety to the repeating rows. The intersections of the colored bands create a complex network of shapes that overlap across the whole composition.
