About this work
Interconnected primary blocks and bars
The image presents a dense network where every shape is linked to another. Large blocks of red and blue anchor the corners and sides, while thin horizontal and vertical bars act as bridges between them. These bars create a grid-like structure that holds smaller triangles and squares in place. The eye moves across the surface by following these straight lines, which connect the larger colored masses to clusters of small circles scattered in the white areas.
A mottled texture appears within the solid red and blue sections, giving the flat shapes a weathered look. While the larger blocks dominate the edges, the center is filled with a high concentration of thin lines and tiny dots. These smaller elements fill the gaps between the main bars, ensuring that no part of the square frame remains empty. The limited use of red, blue, and white keeps the focus on how the different geometric forms lock together.
